The Colington Café is nestled in the heart of Colington in a classic Victorian house. Southern Living rated it as The Best Restaurant for the Best Price on the Outer Banks. They are a top choice for locals and were just recently awarded runner up for "The Best Kept Secret on the Outer Banks".

Their renowned chefs are some of the best in the area, as everything is prepared to order with the freshest local ingredients available. Specials vary from pistachio encrusted salmon with jumbo lump crab meat, finished with a orange fennel beurre blanc, or shrimp and grits with red eye gravy or grilled filet mignon on blue cheese whipped potatoes and a peppercorn sauce and fried tobacco onions. They are also known for their Backfin Crabcakes and She-Crab Bisque as well as all of their homemade desserts. Desserts include white chocolate brulee, triple chocolate mousse cake, key lime cannoli with fresh fruit and a mango coulis, and more. We are open seven days a week through Thanksgiving weekend. Last night is November 28th. We will be open for the Christmas holidays from December 27th until January 2nd.

Go 158 east (past the Wright Memorial) to MP 8.5. Turn right on Colington Road. Head west 1 mile and the café is on the left under the 300+ year old live oaks.
